Soap Scum & Blurry Lives

Blanca cleans our house once a month. I LOVE her! No really. The house sparkles. Smells good. No crumbs on the floor. Amazing!

And the shower door…It is SO clean! Zero water stains. I can see right through it. Almost as if it’s not there.

I never even notice how dirty it is until after Blanca comes. What? The shower door has soap scum? Hmm…

And I think of life. And waiting. And how foggy things on earth seem. And how distant Heaven seems. And maybe I’m seeing through a dirty shower door without realizing it. Maybe I’m looking through a mirror dimly. Maybe this world really isn’t it.

And I long to see Him. Face to face. With the one who knows me fully. Loves me fully. Has a perfect plan for my life.

My blurry is His clear. Perfect. Spotless. Grace.

“For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.”
(I Corinthians 13:12)
